HISTORY

The Mexican contemporary art fair began in 2002, first appearing as MUESTRA in the city of Monterrey, and then as MUESTRA 2 in Mexico City.

Founder Zélika García recognized the need to extend the art market and go beyond the Mexican borders. Since 2004, ZsONAMACO has been based in Mexico City. Today, this celebration is the epicenter of contemporary art, diverse museums, and public and private cultural institutions; there are also many activities and events meant to disseminate the varied expressions of the fine arts.
