Opening reception of Para Mi Hija (For My Daughter), by Andrew Birk. Para Mi Hija is a painting installation and the second solo show of Birk at Galería Karen Huber. With a soundtrack and a landscape in front of the canvas, it presents a fiction of the imagined point of view of a child in front of the novelty of the world. Birk contrasts this environment with a new body of work, approaching both the great vital milestones and the small daily snapshots as exceptional discoveries.
