This project is about learning in a different way the other reality of the Mexican American culture of East Los Angeles, California, mainly during the nineties. Her archival projects Veteranas & Rucas and Map Pointz contain modes of self-representation and visibility: the dichotomy between good and bad/ugly. As a tribute to those who died from violence, the collection of photographs, flyers, relics and documents addresses the mourning, trauma and nostalgia of those left behind.
